December 2011 - We are proud to announce that Tim Van de Kamp has been has been named by Wisconsin Super Lawyers & Rising Stars as one of the state's top up-and-coming attorneys under 40.

November 28, 2011 - We congratulate our client, Jackson Street Management LLC, on its historic ground breaking for the $54 million, 200-room Milwaukee Marriott Hotel, the first full service Marriott hotel in Milwaukee.  We are proud to participate as a member of the development team.

November 11, 2011 - John Wirth has been appointed by the Walworth County Circuit Court as receiver for Wilson Doors, Inc.  Wisconsin-based Wilson Doors, Inc. has been, since 1956, the leading U.S. manufacturer of premium aluminum bi-fold doors, steel bottom rolling doors, economical steel bi-fold doors and single panel hydraulic doors used in aircraft hangers. The doors are also used in such diverse applications as casinos, convention centers, museums, showrooms and industrial buildings and are shipped all over the globe – from Iceland to Australia. 

August 18, 2011 - John Wirth gave a presentation at The M&A Forum on purchasing distressed businesses, particularly out of receiverships.

August 9, 2011 - Sean Lanphier, with the assistance of Andy Robinson, prevailed in defending an appeal to the Wisconsin Court of Appeals in a case involving a supplier’s contract and the application of the Uniform Commercial Code. Our client sold a pasta packaging machine. The decision interprets whether our client's packaging machine had been “accepted” by the purchaser and “installed” by the seller, and whether the purchaser’s “acceptance” had been revoked. The decision, Viking Packaging Technologies, Inc v. Vassallo Foods, Inc., has been recommended for publication in the official reports. 

June 9, 2011 - Sean Lanphier taught at Real Estate and Business Law Institute sponsored by the State Bar of Wisconsin.  His presentation covered drafting and enforcing covenants not to compete.

June 7, 2011 - Mallery & Zimmerman, S.C. is pleased to announce that Mike McDonagh has been elected to the Board of the Health Law Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin.  Mike's term begins on July 1.

May 29, 2011 - Mallery & Zimmerman, S.C. congratulates Kevin Schuele, President of Pak Technologies, Inc. and CEO of King Research, Inc., for being named as a finalist for the 2011 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the Upper Midwest.  Mallery & Zimmerman has proudly represented Mr. Schuele and his companies for over 15 years.

May 23, 2011 - Mallery & Zimmerman, S.C. is pleased to announce that Jackie Sestito will be awarded the  Wisconsin Commercial Real Estate Women (WCREW)'s 10th Annual Leadership Lunch Patty McConnell Networking Award for her commitment to networking and mentoring of women in the Wisconsin commercial real estate community..  Jackie will be honored at a luncheon event on Thursday, June 2 at the Italian Community Center

April 8, 2011- John Wirth has been appointed by the Waukesha County Circuit Court as receiver for the New Berlin Entertainment Center (New Berlin Bowling Center, Inc. and Kuglitsch Properties, Inc.).

March 18, 2011 - John Wirth is mentioned in The Business Journal as the proposed receiver for New Berlin Bowl.

September 18, 2010 - John Wirth is quoted in the October issue of Milwaukee Magazine in an article entitled "Queen of Green."

July 9, 2010 - John Wirth has been appointed by the Milwaukee County Circuit Court as receiver for Ideal Tall Pines Corp.

June 7, 2010 - John Wirth has been appointed by the Waukesha County Circuit Court as receiver for the real property located at 17100 West Ryerson Road, New Berlin, Wisconsin owned by Dr. Tab, LLC.

May 24, 2010 - Doug French and Tim Van de Kamp gave a professional development presentation in the CARW Academy Lunch & Learn Series sponsored by the Commercial Association of REALTORS Wisconsin.  The Lunch & Learn Series is targeted at CARW sales associates with less than five years of experience and affiliate members in the commercial real estate industry.  The presentation focused on commercial lease clauses.

April 27, 2010 - John Wirth has been appointed by the Florence County Circuit Court as receiver for Northern Component Solutions, LLC.  Northern Component Solutions, LLC manufactures lumber and cabinet components.

April 26, 2010 - Mallery & Zimmerman, S.C. is pleased to announce that John C. Vitek has joined the firm as our newest shareholder.  John has over 28 years of experience as a tax, business and real estate attorney.  John represents a variety of lenders and business owners.

April 13, 2010 - Jon Herreman and Doug French were guest lecturers for the Real Estate Cases and Equity Investment class for seniors in Marquette University College of Business.  The class is a case-based course that emphasizes applied real estate analysis for the purchase, finance and development of commercial real estate.  The presentation focused on commercial real estate lending in the current economic environment.

January 29, 2010 - The Milwaukee Business Journal reports on an offer made by a Mallery & Zimmerman, S.C. client, represented by Tom DeMuth, to purchase Park Lafayette.

May 26, 2009 - John Wirth has been appointed by the Milwaukee County Circuit Court as Chapter 128 receiver for Major Systems Inc.  Major Systems Inc. is a Milwaukee area commercial and residential heating and air conditioning contractor. 

May 15, 2009 - Mallery & Zimmerman, S.C. is pleased to announce that William L. Shenkenberg has joined the firm.  Bill has over 13 years of civil litigation experience.  Bill has represented equipment and product manufacturers in the defense of asbestos claims throughout Wisconsin and has been involved in the defense of silicosis claims. He also has represented businesses involved in a wide variety of contract and commercial disputes, and has represented business owners in shareholder and partnership disputes.

May 14, 2009 - John Wirth has been appointed by the Milwaukee County Circuit Court as Chapter 128 receiver for CU Fleet, LLC.  CU Fleet, LLC is the automobile leasing arm of the Central States family of companies.  CU Fleet, LLC is the second largest independent automobile dealer in Wisconsin. 

March 27, 2009 - Mallery & Zimmerman, S.C. is pleased to announce that Jacqueline H. Sestito has joined the firm.  Jackie has over eight years of experience as a real estate attorney.  Most recently, she was Corporate Counsel to Continental Properties Company, Inc., one of the Midwest's largest developers.  Before that, she practiced with a large Chicago firm.

February 13, 2009 - John Wirth has been appointed by the Dodge County Circuit Court as Chapter 128 receiver for Sustainable Groundwater Services LLC. 

January 26, 2009 - John Wirth has been appointed by the Sheboygan County Circuit Court as Chapter 128 receiver for Reliant Glass & Door Systems LLC. 

January 21, 2009 - John Wirth has been appointed by the Waukesha County Circuit Court as Chapter 128 receiver for Wm. Beaudoin and Sons, Inc.  The debtor company has been providing asphalt paving in Southeastern Wisconsin since 1925.

January 9, 2009 - The Milwaukee Office of Mallery & Zimmerman, S.C. has elected Jon Herreman as its Managing Shareholder.  Jon is responsible for the business operations of the office.

November 13, 2008 - John Wirth has been appointed by the Milwaukee County Circuit Court as Chapter 128 receiver for Iron Fireman - Milwaukee, Inc. and UIC, Inc.  The debtor companies have provided heating and air conditioning services in the Milwaukee area for over 70 years.

September 11, 2008 – Doug French of the Milwaukee Office of Mallery & Zimmerman, S.C. spoke at the Marquette University Law School to students interested in the practice of real estate law.  Doug represented the State Bar’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section.
